I am trained in the art of hypnotism by The Path Foundation of Houston, Texas, with over 500 hours of training. I have also studied and trained under other world-renowned hypnotherapists, such as Mary Lee Labay.
I am a certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT). I complete continuing education to maintain my training. Both the the National Guild of Hypnotist and the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) are the premier associations for holistic practitioners. Both associations membership includes medical practitioners, psychologists, clinical social workers, coaches, stress consultants, NLP practitioners, clergy, licensed massage therapists, hypnotists, hypnotherapists, biofeedback specialists, nutritionists, educators, mental health therapists, substance abuse counselors, and others in the helping and healing arts. Training requirements for members of IACT mandate a curriculum with a minimum of 220 hours of course instruction. The training hours include physical classroom attendance, internships, supervised practice, homework, reading assignments, and research.
I am certified and endorsed by the HypnoBirthing International as a course instructor. I received training from HypnoBirthing in 2013 and again in 2022. HypnoBirthing teaches expectant parents the benefits of natural birth, deep relaxation through positive affirmations, visualization, deep breathing, and meditation, and prepares the birth partner for an active role in calming and reassuring the mother through the stages of labor.
